## Contribution

Designed the core caloric-balance model, onboarding flow, daily tracking loop, and supporting mobile interface in Figma

## Problem

### Calorie tracking makes every day feel like a test

Most people already understand calorie deficits, but existing trackers emphasize restriction and make progress feel like it resets every morning. The missing feedback loop is cumulative: a way to feel yesterday’s effort carrying forward and a difficult day becoming recoverable

> Losing weight is not a diet—it is a debt you pay down, one day at a time

## Approach

### One number changes the emotional model

The concept converts the gap between current and goal weight into a fixed caloric balance. Maintenance would become the baseline, each day a payment or adjustment, and predictive feedback a way to focus on the path ahead instead of judging the day behind

## Workflow

**From first profile to a balance the prototype can explain**

### 01 — Onboard

The prototype uses a seven-step wizard to gather the inputs needed to calculate maintenance, target pace, and the starting balance

### 02 — Track

The proposed flow lets a user log a meal or daily total, preview its effect on the balance, then close the diary when the day is complete

### 03 — Validate

Balance receipts, streaks, history, and weigh-ins are designed to turn each entry into a trajectory the user can understand and trust

## Roadmap

### Make logging feel as effortless as the mental model

- **Nutritional database integrations** — Connect to nutritional databases for faster, more seamless calorie logging

- **Photo logging with OCR** — Add an OCR and AI layer so users can photograph what they ate instead of entering it manually

- **Early mobile pilot** — Put the experience in users’ hands early and use their feedback to refine the daily loop
